Another year in the books!
Our kids (mostly) battled to the finish and did very well for themselves. PreCalc, as they do every year, learned plenty about their grit and how to adapt to a world without extra credit or fluff assignments. I'm very proud of them, especially those who dug deep for the final and earned their "Good Samaritan Option" grade replacement (15 of them scored higher on the final than their grade going in!). See their advice for future generations below.
Game Club has been going string, with more community interaction. We hosted a Magic: The Gathering prerelease event at the end of April and are now in close partnership with Spearfish's newest game store, Lookout Games. I haven't been blowing up this page with Game Club updates because we now have our own Facebook Page! There have been lunch league tournaments, our first Spirit of the Game senior award, and, of course, our weekly shenanigans every Thursday afternoon.
I have been slack on updates and contacts because my usual 60-80 hours a week of teacher duties have been compounded by this handsome little gremlin. Every day is something new, exciting... and exhausting (and it's my wife who does 90% of the dirty work). To all the people who said, "You'll understand when you have kids," yup, you were right!
